Wine has a long established history of being our drink of choice for celebrating, entertaining, and savoring life; but it didn't start out that way. • The Roman Senate bans the Bacchanalian rites with the Senatus consultum de Bacchanalibus in 186 BCE.
  • The National Wine Centre of Australia opened in 2001.
  • The Bonnezeaux and Coteaux-de-l'Aubance AOC were revised in 2003.
