Feast day of St. Urban of Langres, patron saint of vineyard workers.  He was hidden from authorities by vineyard workers who he then converted to Christianity.

The Bianchello di Metauro DOC was created in 1969.

The Marsala DOC was created in 1969.

The Sartène AOC was designated in 1976.
